If you want to get involved in the workshops being run by Culture Spring to make paper flowers but can't make it along to sessions, why not download the PDF and send your flowers at home. The two designs are easy to make with the minimum materials.
Another busy day. Met up with Artist Paul Shriek of Fox and Shriek to collect the materials for tomorrows Paper Flower Workshop. The flowers will be used by the performers in the South Tyneside Parade which will be based on the theme of Alice in Wonderland. Super excited to be involved. I've been working with Yvette Hawkins planning the sessions and testing out folding techniques to make the flowers, liking how they've developed.
Yvette and I will also be collaborating to make a giant Chinese Dragon inspired character from the Lewis Carole classic. We will be utilising our combined love of paper and origami techniques to make it.
If you would like to get involved in the project, you can sign up to attend the free workshops here.
Spent yesterday redesigning the web site for Chilli Studios to fit with it's new look. Above is a sneaky peek of how it will look. Opted for a simpler, cleaner look that will be easier to access and more concise. Still needs some work and it's not live yet but happy with the progress so far. Waiting from confirmation from the bossman but initial response has been positive.
Currently studying web design. At the moment, coding it feeling like a foreign language but I'm looking forward to making web sites from scratch.
